Russia and Iran have agreed to introduce a visa-free regime for tourist groups from January 1, 2023. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

“Based on what was previously agreed by the governments of Iran and Russia, from January 1, 2023, citizens of these states will not need a group visa if they are going to travel to one of the countries in tourist groups of 5 to 50 people for a period of 15 days” , — said in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Iran.

It is specified that the relevant agreement was signed between the parties during the second meeting of the Iranian-Russian Technical Committee for Tourism.

At the end of July, Russia and Iran signed an agreement on the export to Russia of parts and equipment for aircraft and their maintenance. A memorandum of understanding was also signed, under which the number of passenger flights between the countries will be increased to 35 per week.
