Belarusian public figures received real terms for discussing a hypothetical conspiracy in the Internet conference

In Minsk, a sentence was announced on one of the most high -profile cases of recent times - a conspiracy case to seize power. The two defendants were given 10 years, 11, two “random fellow travelers” - 2.5 years each.

“New newspaper. Europe ”at the beginning of the trial described in detail the history of this, in fact, misunderstandings. Briefly: lawyer Yuri Zenkovich with US citizenship, Pushkinist Alexander Feduta, Partyman Grigory Kostusev and several emigrants-psychiatrist Dmitry Shchigelsky, consultant Alexander Perepechko and former security officials Igor Makar and Pavel Kulazhenko-at the beginning of last year held several Zum-conferences during which they discussed the PCF in the Building of Belarusia. Lukashenko by the forces of dissatisfied military and other beautifully sounding things like the internation of officials and the capture of key buildings. Not only discussed, but also recorded their zoom conferences. And sent to friends, potential future participants. So there is nothing surprising in the fact that once a lieutenant colonel of the General Staff of the Belarusian army Ivan Zhuravsky knocked on them.

He participated in several zoom conferences, and in April last year, lawyer Yuri Zenkovich and Pushkinist Alexander Feduta met with Zhuravsky in Moscow-in the Korshma “Taras Bulba”, stuffed with microphones and video cameras. Then both were detained there, in Moscow. And Grigory Kostusev, the leader of the Belarusian Popular Front party, which has long existed only in memories, at home, in the Mogilev region. At the same time, two people who accidentally fell into a net - an accountant of the Minsk company Zenkovich Olga Golubovich and a trucker from Minel Minel Denis Kravchuk, with whom Zenkovich met at a protest in August 2020. But if you took it, you can’t let it go back just like that. Golubovich and Kravchuk were given 2.5 years according to the “popular” article 342 for participating in the shares of 2020.

Alexander Lukashenko later told reporters a lot of terrible stories: supposedly they had to kill him, and put the whole family in the cellar in the Gomel region, and he was already taken into the excursion into this cellar. But no cellar in nature, of course, existed. Otherwise, the prosecutor in court would certainly tell about him. From all of what was said - that the conspirators, that Lukashenko - turned out to be a reality only Lieutenant Colonel Zhuravsky. Before the trial, it seemed that this KGB operative was introduced with the legend of the General Staff. But Ivan Zhuravsky came and testified for two hours. True, in a closed meeting.

At first, this trial was completely closed. But on the first day, Judge Vladimir Oreshko decided to open it (except for the interrogation of Zhuravsky). And for a month, journalists and human rights activists could monitor this strange process in which there was nothing present - neither a conspiracy, nor confirmation of the story about the cellar, nor contacts with the military (Zhuravsky is not considered, it was introduced and performed an operational task). Such "conspiracies" in each Belarusian cuisine have been weaving for more than a decade.

Nevertheless, everyone pleaded guilty, except for the party, Grigory Kostusev. According to the prosecution, Kostusev reached a secret agreement with other participants in the conspiracy and in online conferences, while at home in the Mogilev region, discussed options for violent seizure of power. The accused himself stated that he really participated in seven zoom conferences, but would not remember to discuss the seizure of power there, and generally asked other participants to be careful in statements (by the way, he was the only one who was in Belarus all this time). He said that he perceived the information about the conspiracy as a fake and did not believe that among the Belarusian generals there are those who could change their homeland. I recalled that I used to support Alexander Lukashenko and in general they are countrymen. The prosecutor read out the testimony of Grigory Kostusev to the KGB investigator, where the accused claimed that he was drawn into participation in zoom conferences as a party leader in order to receive funding for a conspiracy. Then the prosecutor asked if he stipulated anyone during the investigation. Kostusev replied: "I tried not to stipulate, I don’t remember exactly." In the last word, he said that he agreed to participate in zoom conferences exclusively in finding a solution to the problem of sanctioned pressure on Belarus and that during his stay in prison, he was diagnosed with cancer.

US citizen Yuri Zenkovich is the only one who made a deal with the investigation. According to the prosecutor, he fulfilled the terms of the transaction completely. Nevertheless, the prosecutor requested the same 12 years for him as for Kostusev and Fedut, and the court gave 11. Despite the fact that in the event of a transaction, the punishment is sentenced on the principle of "no more than half of the maximum." That is, the maximum for Yuri Zenkovich was supposed to be 6 years old. Zenkovich admitted that he was the organizer of the conspiracy. He said that he did not believe in the possibility of holding honest elections in Belarus, which means that "Lukashenko can only win Lukashenko." He said that he came to the idea of ​​forceful overthrow of power with his friend, psychiatrist Dmitry Shchigelsky (he lives in the United States for a long time and also participated in zoom conferences), apologized to the rest of the accused: "I did a bad job, and because of this my friends were behind bars."

Alexander Feduta - Pushkinist, political scientist and intellectual. It was he who spoke at the very zoom conference with which it all began, about the "rotation of the regime in Egypt due to what happened to Anvar Sadat."

Speaking in court, the author of the idea of ​​the conspiracy of Fedut called the psychiatrist Shchigelsky living in America, and Zenkovich, who considers the ambitious and strong -willed, not too smart person, the co -executor. Also, Alexander Feduta said that Lukashenko did not participate in the discussions of the fate, it was a question of those who were supposed to carry out a coup. Then the prosecutor read out the testimony of Fedut during the investigation. In the investigation, he said that after the coup planned the arrest of 30 large officials, including the leadership of power structures and the head of the Central Election Commission Lydia Ermoshina. And then a junta of seven people, or a “collective president” was supposed to appear. At the same time, the current parliament was to appoint members of the junta (which has not been recognized around the world since 1996 due to the lack of honest elections). In the last word, Alexander Feduta said:

“The first meeting of Zenkovich with Zhuravsky took place in Minsk at the end of August, the second in Grodno on September 12. It is from that day that the history of the “conspiracy” should be counted, the leader of which for some reason is Yuri Zenkovich. From the listened telephone conversations it follows that it is Zhuravsky that initiates most of the conversations, requires Zenkovich an answer, but he has neither money nor a plan of action. This is a problem of “collective Zhuravsky” - without these components, no conspiracy comes out. All that is enough Zenkovich’s opportunities for is to get $ 5 thousand from personal savings and give them out for current expenses.

<...> The KGB officer, whose task included the administration of one of the most radical chats, sends Zenkovich the Silence plan - the only document in which the plan of the murder of Lukashenko was clearly formulated, and he sends it to Nikolai Avtukhovich and Ivan Zhuravsky. But Avtukhovich immediately sees a provocation in this and is dissolved.

The plan of the murder of the “first” really was, while no one is looking for the author of this bloody fake. For the sake of Roman Protasevich, they almost counted the entire Belarusian aviation, and here is silence. You can make a verbal portrait. They don’t even imitate searches - after all, they will suddenly find it.

<...> Zhuravsky, meanwhile, will be disappointed: Zenkovich’s ambitions, his discontent with a third -rate role in the opposition does not allow him to agree with any influential emigrant structure. As a result, the lawyer has only $ 16 thousand and 3 thousand Belarusian rubles. Imagine how much blood can be shed with this money? Genghis Khan is resting. <...>

It becomes clear that Zenkovich is a dummy. And yet it is too late to cancel the provocation - they have already raised the FSB of Russia, and Lukashenko had already been warned. "Dummies" take. In order not to make excuses, Putin is reported to the disclosure of a "bloody conspiracy under the leadership of the CIA." Putin believes and even tells about this to his American colleague. In response, there is a misunderstanding: they do not know about the “conspiracy” either in the CIA or the State Department, or in the apparatus of the US president itself. Putin is in the role of a clown, and therefore the organizers have nowhere to retreat - Moscow. If everything has failed, you won’t envy the official Minsk. ”

At the end of Fedut, he said that he was a conspiracy - solely because he himself believed in him. It is not known whether those numerous operatives, investigators, prosecutors believed in the conspiracy, thanks to which a criminal case of 25 volumes and a prison term of 31 years for three was created.

It is strange that the porridge in the heads of the "conspirators" did not become obvious to them. The military, arrests, seizure of buildings - and at the same time members of the junta, whom the parliament will appoint. Conspiration, secret passwords that should mean failure - and at the same time discussions about the murder of Lukashenko, which were then broadcast on all television channels. The search for dissatisfied with the military regime - and meetings in the middle of the friendly regime of Moscow. It looks like a game of Cossacks-robbers, "Lnight", a blind cat-even a "crocodile", but a game, not a reality. Only the deadlines, the implemented officer and a lesson for all people of goodwill for the future were real: Zoom - not the best place for conspiracies.
