In the second season of the series "Vampires of the Middle Band" there will be no Ukrainian actress Ekaterina Kuznetsova, who played one of the main roles.

Investigator Annushka in the new season of Vampires of the Middle Band will be played by Russian actress Anastasia Stezhko. She starred in the series "Policeman from Rublyovka" and "Dyldy". The Start video service, which produces Vampires of the Middle Band, did not comment on Kuznetsova's departure.

After the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Ekaterina Kuznetsova spoke out against the war and said that she had left Russia for Kyiv, the city where she was born. The artist said that she was not going to return to the Russian Federation, where she had lived since 2011.

Also, while working in Russia, Kuznetsova opposed filming in the Crimea and cooperation with actor Ivan Okhlobystin.

“It was fundamental for me not to act with Okhlobystin’s scum. I know that this is unprofessional, but when I saw that he was talking about Ukraine, I said that I would not enter the frame with him, ”the artist said in an interview with journalist Alina Dorotyuk.

"Vampires of the Middle Band" is a comedy-detective series about the life of modern vampires in Smolensk. The release of the second season of the series is scheduled for the end of 2022.
