Yesterday, the British conservatives replaced the fourth prime minister in a row, without waiting for the general parliamentary elections. The new prime minister was Liz Tracers, who had previously managed to visit the Minister of Trade and the Foreign Minister. Such a frequent change of heads of government indicates obvious problems with the quality of the elected leaders. At the same time, the new prime minister, most likely, will not be very different from his predecessors - Boris Johnson, Teresa May and David Cameron - for the better. However, the choice in favor of the tracks approves Britain in the Populistic U-turn of his policy, the beginning and brightest symbol of which was Brexit.
Even before the resignation in July of this year, Boris Johnson had repeatedly found himself in a situation of threat of removal from office. But each time the need for Johnson's change came up to the argument that in the conservative party there was simply no one to replace it. However, with the last scandal, the preservation of Johnson as the prime minister was simply impossible , although the problem of the lack of a serious alternative has not disappeared anywhere.
Of all the candidates proposed for consideration by parliamentarians-conservatives, in the internal competition, two remained-Liz tracks, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Rishi Sunak, a former Minister of Finance. At the final stage in the election of the party leader - and, accordingly, the prime minister - all members of the conservative party participate. According to its results, the tracks won, gaining 81 thousand votes against 60 thousand from Sunak, although she lost the voices of parliamentarians: 113 against 137.
Support for the wide layers of the Party of Tracks in many respects deserved with its unpretentious imitation of the cult figure of conservatives - Margaret Thatcher. The future prime minister is directly cosplayed by the famous British leader of the past, for example, appearing in a similar clothing in those places where the most famous photographs were taken. So, the tabloids captured the tracks on the tank on the tank on maneuvers in Estonia and in the fur cap in Moscow. Critics of the tracks claimed that the photo shoot on Red Square was almost the main motive for its visit to Russia in February 2022, during which she confused Voronezh and Rostov with Donetsk and Lugansk, thereby amusing Sergei Lavrov.
The tracks have long been preparing for the early resignation of Johnson and created for itself the renom of the reckless policy of right -handed views, which, in the context of modern Britain, implies flirting with the cult of Margaret Thatcher, which was generously supplemented by neoliberalism and criticism of the EU as the main threat of British sovereignty. Thus, the victory of the tracks in the intra -party competition shows that the right -wing populism has entrenched in the dominant ideology of the British conservatives who preferred a populist agenda of the tracks with its promises of the immediate reduction in the more responsible approach of Sunak, who insisted on compliance with the balanced budget.

The main architect of the new, populist department of the conservative party is Johnson himself, who stated during the debate about Brexita that he was “for a tit in his hands and for a crane in the sky” ( Pro Cake and Pro Eating IT ). Johnson refused to go to any compromises, convincing everyone that in case of leaving the EU Britain, he would be able to maintain all the advantages of EU membership, while receiving complete freedom in foreign trade and politics. Naturally, everything turned out to be quite the opposite , but the desire for simple solutions for difficult problems has firmly entered the thinking of the British conservatives.
Liz tracks acts as the ideological successor to Johnson. She promises to reduce taxes without increasing the budget deficit, but at the same time reducing inflation.
According to the general opinion of economists , these are mutually exclusive things, but the tracks are dismissed from critics as representatives of outdated orthodoxy.
This approach goes with a bang with party members, which mainly consist of wealthy white older men living in the south of England and voting for Brexit. Here are only the majority of the population, which is experiencing the deepest economic crisis over the past 40 years, neoliberal recipes from the routes about the advantages of the free market, low taxes and the maximum reduction in the role of the state in the economy can cause rejection.
However, in a clash of populist statements with real policies, in a situation where a significant part of the population due to economic problems and accelerating inflation will need state assistance, and not a reduction in social expenses, the routes will have to choose a smaller of evils. Probably, the choice will be in the direction of greater state support, and in this case the tracks - after Johnson - will have to compensate for the violation of their promises with the help of a loud foreign policy.

Liz tracks quite firmly mastered the foreign policy theme, since its two previous posts, the Minister of Foreign Trade and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, had this.
At his time to the Minister of Foreign Trade, immediately after the coming Brexit, the tracks were concluded by Britain's trade agreements with other countries. The vast majority of them became a copy of the agreements that Britain had as a member of the EU, but the future prime minister presented these documents as his personal merit, demonstrating the benefits from Brexit. Moreover, the agreements with Australia and New Zealand did not have agreements - the tracks were signed without proper analysis and were critical for the British farmers who supported the exit from the European Union. But this time, the leader of the conservatives simply dismissed critics.
Eurosceptics initially did not trust the tracks, because in 2016 she advocated the preservation of Britain in the EU. To win their votes, the tracks took an extremely tough position in negotiations with the European Union, in particular, promising to withdraw from an agreement on Northern Ireland. If this happens, the trade war of Britain with the EU is inevitable.
Any exacerbation of relations with the EU is now an extremely risky step, but it can be useful to tracks to distract attention from domestic political problems and attract the right wing of conservatives to their side.
In this situation, Ukraine remains for the tracks, as for Johnson, a win -win topic on which you can earn glasses with both the population and foreign policy partners without any special costs. Therefore, it is most likely that in the Ukrainian direction of the tracks, Johnson’s policy will continue: he will make high -profile statements about the need to defeat Russia in Ukraine and make frequent visits to Kyiv with words of support and promises of new supplies of weapons. At the same time, the costs necessary for such a policy as before will remain low enough, which demonstrates, for example, London’s policy in relation to Ukrainian refugees, which Britain accepted almost ten times less than Germany.
The Renom of the largest hawk in relations with Moscow looks like a win -win option for the tracks, however, the same tactics can become a litmus piece of paper that demonstrates vulnerable places of the tracks as a politician. One of Johnson's former advisers described the tracks as a “ walking grenade ” (Human Handgranate) for her impulsiveness and stubbornness. According to British journalists, even the Americans are tired of the tracks, which demonstrates “very black and white thinking” on foreign policy issues, underestimates the risks of escalation, and its public statements often are ahead of real policy. For example, the scandalous style of the tracks as the Foreign Minister has already led to the fact that Vladimir Putin ordered to transfer nuclear forces into the regime of special combat duty, using its careless statements as an excuse.
Ignoring the risks, the sharpness and underestimation of the consequences will fully accompany the tracks in domestic politics. Her confidence in her innocence often leads to ill -conceived actions. For example, as a junior minister of education, she ordered to adjust the comparative data, removing those countries that spoiled the statistics for her main argument that there are much more bureaucracy in British schools that interferes with more children.
From an early age, Liz tracks were distinguished by the desire to attract attention by any means. In the student years, when she was a member of the Liberal Democratic Party, the tracks called for the abolition of the monarchy. After her election, a member of the parliament in 2010, the tracks received from her new colleagues the nickname “Liz sharp elbows” for her desire to always take the most profitable place during photo shoots. In 2014, she became the Minister of Environment and said at the party congress that Britain imports “ugly” products from Europe - apples, fruits and cheese. The application was made of the routes for a universal laughingstick in the country, but attracted the attention of party activists.

The recklessness and stubborn unwillingness to recognize their mistakes helped to win the voices of members of the conservative party, but its same qualities create the risks of the collapse of the already fragile electoral coalition created by Johnson in the last parliamentary elections. The lack of Brexit as a binder of the coalition link in the presence of a serious crisis in the economy and society creates a problem background for any leader of the conservatives. Liz tracks with her extreme right maximalism, which also does not have Harism Johnson, will be very difficult to reach neutrally tuned voters, the support of which is necessary to win the elections.
Given the above, there is no complete guarantee that Liz the tracks will remain as prime minister until the next election. In the conservative party, she has many enemies, starting with the same Sunak. And in Britain, the tracks were initially extremely low rating , where 67% of voters do not believe in its ability to cope with the economic crisis. But without a fight, she will not give up. So, dashing times are waiting for Britain and Europe under the tracks.
