A case was opened against a 60-year-old Lipetsk resident for “fakes” about the army

In Lipetsk, a criminal case was opened regarding “fakes” about the Russian army (Part 1 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code) against a 60-year-old resident of the Oktyabrsky district of the city. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Investigative Committee.

According to investigators, in March the suspect published “a number of materials” in a group or channel. “Under the guise of reliable reports, he gave out deliberately false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation,” the release said.

The Lipchan resident's house was searched. What prompted the case is unknown.
