A court in Kostroma fined a Moscow resident 40 thousand rubles in a case of vandalism (Part 1 of Article 214 of the Criminal Code) for damaging an installation in the shape of the Z. letter This was reported by the Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Kostroma Region.

According to CCTV footage, a 51-year-old Muscovite on the night of April 4 took a running jump on a light box three times and bent it. Two security guards watched what was happening - they did not try to stop the man and did not call the police, for which they were later fired .

Later, the Muscovite was detained . Police reported that he “was intoxicated and acted out of hooligan motives.”

During the investigation of the case, the man fully compensated for the damage in the amount of 76 thousand rubles.

In August, a court in Cheboksary released local residents who damaged an installation in the shape of the letter Z from punishment in a case of vandalism . They were given court fines of 20 thousand rubles each, and previously - fines of 30 thousand for “discrediting” the army (Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code).
