The Ministry of Internal Affairs put on the wanted list the former coordinator of Open Russia in the Rostov Region Anastasia Shevchenko. The information from the base of the department drew attention to 161.ru.

As a law enforcement source told the publication, Shevchenko "evaded the execution of the punishment assigned to her."

The activist herself on her Instagram wrote that she had left Russia in August.

Shevchenko became the first in Russia convicted in the case of cooperation with the “undesirable organization” (Article 284.1 of the Criminal Code). In February 2021, she was sentenced to four years conditionally, then the punishmentwas reduced to three years conditionally. The reason for the criminal case was the publication of the post on the lecture and the organization of political debates under the auspices of “Open Russia”.

Before the court’s decision, the activist was under house arrest for more than two years. During the investigation, she died a 17-year-old daughter who lived in a boarding school for children with developmental features.

In 2017, the Prosecutor General’s Office recognized Otkrytaya Rossia , Open Russia Civic Movement and Open Russia (public network movement “Open Russia”), registered in the UK, “undesirable organizations”.
