They again started talking about the return of the monument to Dzerzhinsky - the very one that was demolished from Lubyanskaya Square on August 22, 1991. True, now it was decided to install it not opposite the FSB building, but “just” opposite the Dynamo stadium. They say that the corresponding decree has already been signed.

Now Dzerzhinsky is still in the Museum, in the park, where at one time the monuments became unnecessary (funny, offensive)-two dozen Lenin, Stalin, Brezhnev, and smaller figures. They are well contained, and this, I think, is right. Who wants to lay flowers - please. The rest can come to be horrified by the lived.

But - Dzerzhinsky! What a long -suffering monument! Throughout Moscow, they will carry it, they will not find places ...

The monument to the first chairman of the Cheka was deleted (it seemed) from our life forever - along with the sculptural images of the first “president” of the RSFSR Sverdlov, who replaced him with Kalinin, still a dozen primary figures of the October Revolution. Not a word about them since then - as has not been. Why about Dzerzhinsky spears break from the mid-90s? Even a couple of years ago, a referendum was planned in Moscow: who, they say, want to see dear residents of the capital on Lubyanskaya Square? Dzerzhinsky or, for example, Alexander Nevsky? By the way, how was Alexander Nevsky connected with Moscow, will anyone tell you?

In general, the thought was clear and simple: not washing, so with a skine to drag Felix Edmundovich to its former place. In order to, so to speak, to demonstrate the flag so that the founder of the organs is always before the eyes of the heirs, so that you look out the window - stands. Fine!..

But the referendum did not work. In the sense - nothing; The Muscovites did not want to, and everything was prepared so much, they stretched a referendum for a few days, for sure. And still. I had to urgently turn the campaign:

Like, opinions drew sharply, and monuments should not crack society, but, on the contrary, unite it; A shallow thought, by the way.

Therefore, the referendum was “interrupted” - in the most interesting place. And no one was indignant, no one seemed to be protests.

Although the “they” monument, most likely, will, alas, will return whether we want it or not. But this will not testify about anything. The only group of the population that persistently piercing it is the FSB officers, and the construction of a monument to Dzerzhinsky in the same place will only talk about the growth of their influence on the life of the country. But this is, unfortunately, quite noticeable.

Even good, honest: they refused to pretend that the restoration of the monument to Dzerzhinsky was only the fulfillment of the will of the thoughtful fellow citizens, who sophisticated the people during the years of the decline of civilian feeling. And do not give a damn that everyone who is capable sees: no one, except for the state of state security that has grown to the limit, is not needed, this monument is offensive. Let! Anyway - put it! And we will tie the pioneers at his foot, and take the oath of warriors before sending somewhere, and we will honor the heroes, and “lessons of courage” for schoolchildren to conduct all classes ...

But there is, it seems to me, a reason for some related thoughts.

The monuments are not erected to the one who, in fact, is depicted, but to those who put them. Look around you - surrounded by what characters did you suddenly find yourself?

And somehow the conversations about the enduring artistic and historical value of the constructed.

So - why Dzerzhinsky?

I already mainly answered this question, but since the reason turned out, the sin is no longer to say anymore; The topic allows, unfortunately.

First of all, at the stage of exacerbation of the struggle for the true history that every citizen should know, it would be good to decide, finally, with the October Revolution, the most important, as we recently taught, the event of the century. Did he serve for the benefit of the country - or? And is it not too high for this great victory that Russia paid, both material, and demographic, and whatever? And the consequences of this victory - what are you?

Based on the answer to this most important question, let's move on to the second: to the role of those who made the most significant contribution to the victory of October.

And another, in essence, secondary, in essence, will depend on this question: which of them earned the monument for the deed?

On occasion, the current heads of the organs beat themselves in the chest: they say, they themselves were injured. And more than once! Each change of the big boss (whether the berries, Yezhov, Beria, Merkulov, Abakumov ...) caused a chain reaction - the heads of the chiefs of smaller ones flew without account. I only want to reassure: from each personnel trouble the “organs” came out only stronger, ready to fulfill any new order “Party and Government”.

I will make a reservation about the term "Chekists". As you call the boat, so it will float. And the fact that until today the “heirs of Dzerzhinsky” is so called with pride, says a lot.

The Communist Party once taught: everything done must be evaluated by the final result. The result is evident. Hundreds of thousands of executed, millions of people who have been in prison and camps. There is no one to compare with Earth, in China alone, they say more victims, but in Cambodia (here as a percentage to the entire population, true). There are no other examples, no matter what they say about repressions in relation to “our like -minded people” in the West, “McCartism” and other unpleasant things.

All this is directly related to the question of the monument to Dzerzhinsky. The creator, you want it, you don’t want, but is responsible for making them created. It should also be borne in mind that with him the “organs” behaved like in a conquered country.

I look forward to when it is possible to conduct a pedestrian tour in the center of Moscow-"BCH buildings (OGPU-NKVD-KGB-FSB) as a symbol of the country rising from the knees." A whole city, spreading through the streets and alleys around the "children's world". How more and more there was not enough space for vigilant activities - for the good of the people, of course. And the country, beggar, hungry, straining with the last forces, gave everything to them - the last one.

And at the same time, the “Chekists” were surrounded by unchanging love ... And now they are trying to put them on the clothes of the heroes.

To do this, and secret each step starts from the very beginning. In an atmosphere of secrecy of any Dzerzhinsky, it is easy to imagine an angel.

Look, we can get less and fewer documents in the FSB archives. More recently, it was possible to take the necessary in the former fraternal countries: Georgia, Moldova, in the Baltic countries ... in Ukraine ... Now you will not get anything there.

So, even regulatory instructions have not yet been made public, according to which executions were carried out in the USSR. In the recently published documents of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, the official method is indicated: “by shooting in the right temple” ...

In Minusinsk, the executions were finished off with a crowbar ... The drunken executioners tried to blow up the drunken executioners with the help of an electric definator ... The chief of the operator Alekseev convicted in 1939 in complaints about the unreasonableness of the sentence pointed out that they personally arrested 2,300 Trotskyists, of which 1,500 were shot. The authorities were heeded by these significant arguments, in January 1941, Alekseev was released from imprisonment and remained working in the Gulag system ...

I turn to Evgeny Savostyanov , a man of amazing fate, a mining engineer, in the wake of democratic transformations unexpectedly after August 1991, the deputy director of the FSK, the head of the Moscow service, General of the FSB:

What is considered to be crimes around the world, we are still called “individual errors” at best.

What happened over the past three years? Why and then (quite obvious) “unequal” suddenly became even more secret?

Why, despite the clearly expressed will of Muscovites, are the defeated idol to the streets of their cities again?

Yes, not on Lubyanskaya Square, for this they are not ready today ... but they are dragging!

The wonderful historian Oleg Budnitsky , when I turned to him a few years ago about the establishment of the next monument to Stalin (in Novosibirsk), paid my attention to the fact that the vector of movement is clearly indicated, referred to the monument to the victims of repressions, which was finally opened in Moscow ... Over the past years, with all the solemnity, with the participation of officials, dozens of monuments to Stalin and his associates have been opened, such as the bloody prosecutor Roman Rudenko , whose signature is under tens of thousands of shooting sentences of the Troika in the Donbass (no, not under the “tens of thousands” of sentences, the “three” were condemned by lists). And after the Donbass, Roman Rudenko worked gloriously for the good of the country - according to the constantly changing will of the party. So the medal, specially established, the name of the Hero of the Socialist Labor of Rudenko, the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia now presents precisely its best employees.

How many derogatory words from the highest stands sounded addressed to V.I. Lenin, who endowed the nonexistent Ukraine that did not belong to her “original Russian territories”! It seems more amazing that the first thing the liberators do is restore the monuments ruined by Ukrainians to the "leader of the world proletariat." No one has a timid question: why?

In 1996, on the Volga, I saw a cruise ship rented for my event by the "All -Russian Noble Assembly." You will never guess what the ship was called - "Felix Dzerzhinsky"!

Every year it seems to me more and more that it is a symbol.

Where should Dzerzhinsky Felix Edmundovich call, what to teach? I understand that I ask questions - rhetorical. But I would like to answer - specific. And do not refer to Soviet textbooks and stories "On Chekists" in children's books.
