Sony Music announced its final departure from Russia - tracks from the label's musicians will be removed from streaming services

The Russian division, together with its employees, will be transferred to a local management company, which was founded by ex-director of Sony Music Russia Arina Dmitrieva.

Sources say that Dmitrieva’s company will be a completely independent structure from Sony Music and will represent only local musicians.

The rights to tracks by international artists are not included in the terms of the deal, so all remaining compositions will have to be removed from Russian streaming services. New releases from Sony Music stopped back in March 2022.
