After the protests of the representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church, the authorities of Birobidzhan canceled the grand opening of the wall of the deceased leader of the King and Jester group Mikhail Gorshenev, also known as a pot.

The opening ceremony of the legend of the domestic punk rock was supposed to pass tomorrow, September 10. However, shortly before, against the appearance of the walls of the pot of memory in the city, Archbishop of Birobidzhansky and Kuldursky Ephraim opposed.

“The opening of the wall of memory is announced to a person who, during his lifetime, was famous for shocking behavior on stage and outside the stage. Does the mayor's office mean new examples to follow this event?! I don’t think that Birobidzhan, whose 85th anniversary of the current September has been marked, earned the designation in the public space of ideas, thoughts and approval of the memory of the “pot”, ”he wrote in an open letter to the mayor of Birobidzhan, Maxim Semenov. In the same letter, the archbishop, however, made a reservation that given the addiction of the pot to alcohol and death from an overdose by opiates a place for a memorial (near city treatment facilities), possibly chosen correctly.

In turn, the city hall disowned from the grand opening of the memory wall, saying that it was a private initiative.

The creator of the memorial, who painted a portrait of a pot on the wall with a few square meters, Birobidzhanets Alexander Romanov said that, despite the abolition of a ceremony, a memory wall in place.

“The wall is ready, and I took off the canvas earlier. He picked the grass, painted neighboring plates. Everyone who likes it - enjoy. Who is not - do not spoil! I did what I wanted, I am satisfied with the result. Come, take pictures, sing songs under the guitar. There will be no solemn opening tomorrow. I hope that in the future we will organize a cool event, ”Alexander Romanov wrote on his page on the social network.

According to local media, the frontman of the King and the Jester Mikhail Gorshenev lived in Birobidzhan for some time. In addition, in this city the younger brother of the pot Alexey was born - the leader of the Kukryniksi group.
