FSB officers reported on the prevention of terrorist attacks and sabotage against employees of the Crimean administration and Russian-appointed members of the government of the Kherson region.
According to the FSB, the attacks were prepared by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). The department said that they had found an SBU officer who “supervised the activities of the nationalist sources he recruited.” The FSB also claims that the direct perpetrators and accomplices have been detained. No other details about the operation have been released.
At the same time, on the air of the Rossiya-24 TV channel, they said that two people were detained in the case of preparing terrorist attacks in Crimea. According to journalists, the goal of the organizers of the attacks was to be Vitaly Gura, deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs from Nova Kakhovka. In early August, FSB officers staged his death: they allegedly shot him with a machine gun and a pistol, after which he died in the hospital.
“Ukrainian media show about me that I have already died, died, killed. <...> In early August, they approached me and said that there was an assassination attempt on me, they provided a record of what they had, they wanted to kill me, ”Gura said on the air of Channel One.
Another possible victim could be the deputy head of the administration of the Kherson region Kirill Stremousov.
