City guard Roman Tkach was detained in Moscow at the exit from the detention center, where he was serving an administrative arrest. This was announced by the defender from OVD-Info Evgeny Kurakin.
The detainee is taken to the police department in the Presnensky district. According to eyewitnesses, the officers refused to wait for the ambulance, which he was called to the special detention center due to poor health.
Roman Tkach is a city defender and a member of the All-Russian Society for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments (VOOPIiK). On September 6, the Presnensky District Court of Moscow arrested him for 10 days under the article on petty hooliganism (Article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The man was detained the day before when he tried to prevent construction near historic buildings of the early 20th century. According to the police, he used foul language while talking to construction workers.
On September 7, while in a special detention center, Tkach went on a hunger strike in protest against the court's decision.
