A mass burial site was discovered in Izium, a city in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region that was abandoned by the Russian forces as a result of Ukraine’s counteroffensive, Serhiy Bolvinov, the chief police investigator for the Kharkiv region, told Sky News.
Three people were killed in a missile strike by the Ukrainian Armed Forces that targeted the regional administration building in Russia-occupied Kherson. The attack was reported by Kirill Stremousov, the so-called “deputy chief of the Kherson regional administration”.
More pro-Russian officials were killed on the occupied territories of Ukraine and territories of the self-proclaimed Donbas republics: “LPR prosecutor general” Sergey Gorenko was killed in a blast in Luhansk, while Oleg Boyko, the “deputy mayor for housing and public utilities”, was murdered in Berdyansk along with his wife Lyudmila.
The Azerbaijani Armed Forces advanced 7.5 km into Armenian territory in the area of the city of Jermuk, Chief of General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces Eduard Asryan said during a meeting with foreign envoys. He noted that right now, the Azerbaijani troops are located 4.5 km away from Jermuk.
The German government seized control of two subsidiaries of Russian oil giant Rosneft, Der Spiegel reports, citing the German ministry of economy. The federal network regulator will become the temporary trust manager of Rosneft Deutschland GmbH (RDG) и RN Refining & Marketing GmbH for six months, until February 2023.
