Medusa returns regular musical reviews in which we talk about the main clips and songs that have been released this week. For six months, while there is a full -scale war, the music has not disappeared anywhere - for many, it has become real support in this difficult time. One small (and possibly temporary) innovation: we no longer collect playlists, since Western labels and streaming services are more not available in Russia.

Oximiron "Oida"

Having played concerts in Europe in support of Ukrainian refugees, the rapper from the “ List of Forbidden Musicians ” returned to his native St. Petersburg in order to transfer greetings to the Investigative Committee and the Prosecutor's Office, as well as “kill the empire”. In the new Aquarium album, the “House of all saints” is only one song after the outbreak of war - but in all the others it is impossible to get rid of its distinct presence (premonition). DDT "Lonely in paradise"

Not a song, but one continuous nostalgia for youth. As Shevchuk promised , the second part of the album “Creativity in the Void”, from where “lonely in paradise”, will compose mainly lyrical compositions, and still pre -war ones. But, apparently, they will have much more minor thoughts about the fate of the homeland than about love.

The same track can be interpreted as an absentee continuation of the famous dialogue of Yuri Shevchuk with Vladimir Putin. Once the Russian president said that "we, as martyrs, will go to heaven." “But there is no God in your paradise, it’s bored there, it’s empty there,” the DDT leader answers him.

The Mars Volta "Vigil"

The return of the participants of At the Drive-in, the guitarist of Omar Rodriguez-Lopes and the vocalist of Cedric Biksler-Zaval, under the sign of the legendary Texas project The Mars Volta, is an intriguing and discouraging event. After 10 years of silence, the duet came from a hysterical progressive to some kind of Santana group, which mixes Latinsko with sugary ballads. But this is surprisingly not a boring and saturated album, but Reunion may be worse than Red Hot Chili Peppers.
