Comedian Alexander Dolgopolov came out as a non-binary person .

The corresponding post, written entirely in the feminine gender, was published on Dolgopolov's social networks on September 18. The comedian's Twitter page lists his preferred pronouns as "he/they/she"; in recent days, tweets written in the feminine gender and in the plural have appeared there.

I decided to come out as non-binary for several reasons: firstly, I'm simply so ****** [fucking] sick of being a man in my short but ****** [fucking] life, I've never liked it and lately I've stopped understanding ***** [why] I need it. Secondly, this is my protest against patriarchy and capitalism, I think that only by rejecting their privileges and exploring themselves can people who are initially labeled by society as white cis-hetero- men stand on the side of the oppressed majority in the fight for their rights.
Thirdly, I want to finally become a full-fledged living person, I want to become kinder, I want to learn how to build trusting relationships with people, I want to learn intimacy, I want to learn how to love and be loved, free, strong, passionate, empathetic, flexible, more accepting and less dangerous for loved ones, and it seems to me that the key to this lies not so much in exploring my feminine side, but, in general, in escaping from this gender prison in which we are locked from birth.

Alexander Dolgopolov is one of Russia's leading independent comedians. He left Russia after the war in Ukraine began and has spoken out against the Russian government. In April, Dolgopolov began hosting the show "What Happened?" on the Navalny Live channel; it later moved to a separate YouTube channel.
