The funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, who died on September 8 at the age of 97, ended in the UK.
Elizabeth II was buried in St George's Chapel on the grounds of Windsor Castle. Only family members will have access to the Queen's body.
On the morning of September 19, a memorial service was held at Westminster Abbey. It was attended by family members and politicians from around the world, including US President Joe Biden, his wife Jill, French President Emmanuel Macron, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and many others. There were no representatives of Russia and Belarus at the funeral. After that, a funeral procession took place with the coffin of Elizabeth II. Even the royal corgis were brought to the ceremony.
The Queen died on September 8 at the age of 97. Her 73-year-old son Charles, who took the name Charles III, became king.
