The Central District Court of Orenburg canceled two more penalties imposed on Viktor Filinkov, a defendant in the Network case, in May 2022. This was reported by the RUPRESSION telegram channel.
In the summer of 2020, Viktor Filinkov was found guilty of participation in the activities of a terrorist community (Part 2 of Article 205.4 of the Criminal Code) and sentenced to seven years in a general regime colony. A criminal case about the “terrorist community “Network”” was opened in October 2017: according to the FSB, 11 young people in Penza and St. Petersburg were planning to overthrow the government.
The administration of IK-1 in the Orenburg region, where Filinkov is serving his sentence, regularly imposes disciplinary sanctions on him. He spent several months in total in a punishment cell, then he was transferred to cell-type premises (PKT, EPKT), and on January 18 he was sent to a detachment with strict conditions for serving his sentence. In March, he was once again transferred to the PKT for a month due to his refusal to carry out improvement work in the colony.
According to RUPRESSION’s calculations, the court has already canceled seventeen penalties previously imposed on Viktor Filinkov. However, the prisoner lost the cases in seventeen more claims.
At the same time, the project notes, Filinkov continues to be given new disciplinary sanctions. The prisoner spent the last month in the PCT.
