
Activists of the “Soft Power” movement turned to the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatyana Moskalkova with a request to verify the conditions for the detention of RusNews journalist Maria Ponomarenko in the pre -trial detention center, where she opened the veins. This is stated in the telegram channel of movement.
Members of the "soft power" asked the Ombudsman to help it mitigate the preventive measure for Ponomarenko. The activists indicated that the Supreme Court of Russia repeatedly demanded that lower courts show humanity and observe the human right to freedom. Activists of the movement believe that all charges should be removed from the journalist.
On September 16, Maria Ponomarenko opened the veins in a pre -trial detention center in Barnaul, complaining about the "torture" conditions of the detention in the insulator. The journalist said that she could not sit in a cell with sealed windows, and she developed claustrophobia. She managed to provide medical assistance, she survived.
Previously, Ponomarenko was diagnosed with hysterical personality disorder, but she did not receive the necessary assistance in the pre -trial detention center, where she has been in April.
Lawyer Dmitry Shitov demanded to transfer the prisoner to house arrest, since the investigation of the criminal case of the distribution of "fakes" about the army of the Russian Federation "passed to another stage," as well as due to the psychological state of the client.
