Three foreigners sentenced to death in the self-proclaimed DPR were released

A video appeared on Twitter by the state-run Saudi news agency showing Britons Sean Pinner and Aiden Aslin, as well as Moroccan citizen Saadoun Brahim, who were sentenced to death in the DPR, getting off the plane and shaking hands with Saudi officials.

Earlier, British Health Minister Therese Coffey confirmed the release of Aiden Aslin, who joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine and was captured in April.

In total, with the mediation of Saudi Arabia and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, five British citizens were released from Russian captivity. Their names are not called.

“Russia must stop the ruthless exploitation of prisoners of war and civilian detainees for political purposes,” said British Prime Minister Liz Truss, who also confirmed the release of the British.

Earlier, a court in the DPR sentenced Briton Sean Pinner and Aidan Aslin, as well as Moroccan Brahim Saadoun, to death on charges of mercenarism and a violent seizure of power by a group of people.
