Actionist Pavel Krisevich's term of detention in a pre-trial detention center was extended in the case of hooliganism on Red Square

The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow extended the detention of actionist Pavel Krisevich until December 22. SOTA writes about this.

Krisevich is accused of hooliganism (Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code) due to the performance on Red Square. In June 2021, the artist shot himself in the head with a blank cartridge, dedicating his action to the problem of political prisoners in Russia. After this, the young man was sent into custody - he has been in pre-trial detention for more than a year.

The investigation believes that Krisevich, “acting on the instructions of an unidentified accomplice and expressing his imaginary superiority over others, grossly violated public order.” By his actions, the actionist allegedly caused “a feeling of fear and anxiety” among those around him, and caused three victims “moral harm, expressed in the form of fear for their lives and health.”

Krisevich's lawyer Leonid Solovyov said that his client had already compensated for moral damages to the victims and donated the money raised from the sale of paintings to the Konstantin Khabensky Foundation, which helps children with serious illnesses. However, this did not help the artist get out of custody.

In June, Solovyov reported that Krisevich’s health had deteriorated significantly in the pre-trial detention center.

“He has been weak and has high blood pressure for almost a week. He is pale, has red eyes, and has a rash on his arms and legs. He can’t eat because he constantly feels sick, and because of this he has lost a lot of weight. Local doctors in the pre-trial detention center cannot make a diagnosis - they only inject antibiotics, which make it even worse,” the lawyer noted.

• Before the criminal prosecution, Pavel Krisevich regularly staged performances, due to which he was detained. The artist spent one of them in early November 2020 near the FSB building on Lubyanka - he “crucified” himself on a cross over a burning pile of politically motivated criminal cases. After this, Krisevich was arrested for 15 days under the article on disobedience to the legal demands of a police officer (Article 19.3 of the Administrative Code).
