Petersburg: state employees are collected in support of referendums

The district administrations of St. Petersburg instructed the municipalities to find people who could take part in a rally in support of referenda in Ukrainian territories occupied by Russia. It is reported by Rotonda with reference to several municipalities.

The interlocutors of the publication said that the administrations demand 5-10 people from them. These people will have to come to the Peter and Paul Fortress with Russian flags on Friday.

One of the interlocutors of Rotonda noted that state employees can also support the mobilization announced on Wednesday by President Vladimir Putin.

• On the eve of the head of the self-proclaimed “LPR” and “DPR”, as well as the administrations of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions, the administrations of referendum on September 23-27 on the entry of the captured regions of Ukraine into the Russian Federation.
• All the territories on which the referendum has been announced, the vast majority of the countries of the world consider the sovereign territory of Ukraine, and Russia still officially considers such a Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions. The authorities of Ukraine, as well as representatives of the United States and Western countries have repeatedly stated that they did not recognize any referendums in these territories legitimate. The Council of Europe in a recent statement emphasized that any referendums in the occupied territories cannot be recognized as legitimate on the same grounds on which the legitimacy of the annexation of Crimea in 2014 was not recognized. The UN Charter prohibits violation of the territorial inviolability of countries, that is, the annexation of territories.
• On September 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced mobilization in connection with situations in Ukraine.
• After that, the Vesna movement announced that on September 21 would hold the All -Russian protest against mobilization.
