General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces: students will not be subject to mobilization

Full-time students will not be subject to "partial" mobilization. This was announced by the representative of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Vladimir Tsimlyansky.

“There is no talk of any mobilizations, calls for full-time students studying at universities. Everyone calmly goes to classes, no one will call them up and mobilize them, ”said Tsimlyansky.

He also said that this autumn it is planned to call up 120,000 people for military service. “This is less than last year,” Tsimlyansky said.

At the same time, conscripts will not participate in the war in Ukraine, and at the end of their service life they will be fired and returned home, the representative assured.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense published an official clarification on who is subject to mobilization. At the same time, the category “students” was absent from the list of those who will not be called up.
