A picketer with a “Freedom for Furgalu” flag was detained in Khabarovsk

In Khabarovsk, security forces detained picketer Andrei Stafeev, who was standing on the street with a “Freedom for Furgalu” flag. SOTAvision writes about this.

The man was taken to police department No. 4, where a report was drawn up against him under the protest article (Part 5 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code). The publication notes that a report was drawn up against the man not because of the flag, but because of the action with bath accessories that activists held near the government building of the Khabarovsk Territory on September 18.

• Since the arrest of ex-governor of the Khabarovsk region Sergei Furgal in July 2020, rallies in his support have been held in Russian cities. Protesters believe that the persecution is due to the fact that Furgal won the gubernatorial elections against the candidate from United Russia, as well as the fact that the region showed one of the lowest voting results for amendments to the Constitution. Now Sergei Furgal is in custody .
