In Moscow, security forces beat and raped the detained poet and activist Artem Kamardin. This was reported by Novaya Gazeta. Europe, without citing the source of the information.

Earlier on September 26, Novaya Gazeta. Europe reported, citing lawyer Leonid Solovyov, that the police came to the Moscow apartment where Kamardin, as well as activists Alexandra Popova and Alexander Menyukov, live.

The police did not let the lawyer into the apartment, citing the fact that they were conducting an "inspection of the premises." According to Solovyov, Kamardin, Popova, and Menyukov were then taken to the Investigative Committee department for the Tverskoy District of Moscow. Later, the Telegram channel "112" (owned by the REN channel) published a video in which Kamardin apologizes "to the multinational Russian people"; traces of beatings are visible on his face. In addition to Kamardin, two other people apologize in the video. "112" reported that their names are Yegor Shtovba and Nikolai Deineko and that they, together with Kamardin, "were making fun of the Donbass, Russian soldiers and their relatives."

On September 25, Artem Kamardin took part in the Mayakovsky Readings — poetry evenings held at the monument to poet Vladimir Mayakovsky on Triumfalnaya Square in Moscow. The readings on September 25 were declared "anti-mobilization." Judging by the video posted by the Telegram channel "112," Kamardin read the lines for which he was forced to apologize.
