Vladimir Zhirinovsky Street appeared in Moscow

A previously unnamed street in western Moscow has been renamed in honor of former LDPR party leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky. This was reported to TASS in the Moscow government.

According to the interlocutor of the agency, the name of Zhirinovsky was received on the territory of the HOA “Gorodok Nadezhny” in the Ochakovo-Matveevskoye area. The corresponding decision was made at a meeting of the Presidium of the Government of Moscow on September 20.

LDPR leader Leonid Slutsky said that Zhirinovsky Street would go from Nezhinskaya Street along the Setun River Valley reserve in the Ochakovo-Matveevskoye area.

• Vladimir Zhirinovsky died in early April at the age of 75. A few months earlier, he had been hospitalized with the coronavirus.
• In 2018, the Proekt publication reported that in the area of ​​​​Nezhinskaya Street and the Setun River Valley reserve in Moscow, there is a guarded village of townhouses in which the Zhirinovsky family and their immediate circle own 19 apartments.
