The court re-recognized the song “Kill the Beggars” by the group “Pornofilmy” as extremist material

The Dzerzhinsky District Court of Volgograd has repeatedly recognized the song “Kill Beggars” by the group “Pornofilmy” as extremist material. This is reported by the project "Network freedoms".

In September 2021, the court already recognized this song as extremist material prohibited from distribution in Russia, but in February the decision was overturned on appeal by the Volgograd City Court.

"Network Freedoms" emphasize that the experts of the Research Center for Forensic Science and Criminalistics confirmed that the song belongs to the genre of satire and does not contain calls to imitate the lyrical hero. In addition, this is an almost literal translation of the song Kill the Poor by the American punk band The Dead Kennedys.

The interests of the leader of the group, Vladimir Kotlyarov, are represented by lawyer Narek Hakobyan. It is noted that the decision to recognize the song as extremist material will be appealed.
