Activist, neighbor Artem Kamardin
We expected that we would take a search, but did not expect that. Not a search, but a pogrom. The hellish mixture of something Chechen and Belarusian.
[Before the search], we had an “outdoor” all night near the entrance. An hour before the search, Ford Transit drove up to the house without numbers. It was too late to hide - we would be detained on the street and still would be dragged into the apartment. So [instead] we managed to morally tune in. But, of course, not to such a format [detention and search].
They [employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs] first mixed up the apartments and broke a couple of floors higher. They put everyone, and there is an ordinary ordinary family - a mother and daughter. When they realized that they had mixed up, they went down to us, began to call and hammer on the door. We sat like that about 20 minutes.
[Then] they began to break the door, which they really did not succeed. We called the lawyer, reported [what is happening]. He said to open, otherwise they will write down "resistance during detention." We opened and spread the three of us in different rooms.
They burst into a large horde, with automatic ones. The decision was not shown to the search, just a special forces burst into the apartment. There was not even an investigator. Just a few operas who led, and a special forces detachment.
The door was opened by Sasha [Popova]. She was put in the nearest [to the exit from the apartment] a room, and we were in two distant ones. What happened to Sasha, I did not see and did not hear. What was happening to Artem, he heard. It was impossible not to hear. Many media wrote that the rape of Artem was in the police department. No, it was in the apartment.
I lay down on the floor - they shouted about it through the door. We went into my room, a couple of times to me ********* [hit]. Asked the opera: "This one?" The opera is: “Yes, yes, yes. This".
Mostly beaten on the back. The ear is slightly broken, on the wrists of hematomas and bruises on the back. After they beat me a little, they pressed their back with their foot. I don’t know how much time I had so. Then they dragged them into the corridor, and the operas said: "Ah, not this." We drove [hit] a couple of times.
[At this time they] smashed my room. Digging in personal things, threw away the shelves, lifted everything upside down. Then they began to hammer me with a club so that I told them a password from a laptop. And this is a laptop of my ex -girlfriend, he was just stored with me. I didn't even know the password.
[More] doused with gasoline from Zippo lighter. They beat me to say where the lease agreement was lying - I did not know where he was.
After that, first Artem with Sasha, and then I was taken to the Investigative Committee. Artem is a suspect under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, "inciting a racet with a threat of violence." It was detained for 48 hours.
Even in the apartment, the opera quickly realized that I had nothing to do with everything, so they did not force me to apologize for the camera [like Artem]. I did not participate in the readings that day. The young trail, rather green, asked a bunch of questions about Artem: what verses he writes, with whom he communicates, what political views. I said “I don’t know”, “I don’t remember”, “51st article [Constitution]”-three basic answers.
After 12 [hours] of the night, my lawyer filed a motion to terminate the interrogation, since it is impossible to interrogate the witness after midnight. The investigator refused. His authorities just sent him new questions that need to be asked.
The investigator showed about five videos from Mayakovsky readings, asked to say if I know someone from there and the complete questionnaire data of these people. I answered everything that I refuse to speak in connection with poor health.
I was released at three in the morning. After SK, Sasha and I went to the "injury". She has a concussion, she is in a state of shock. Sasha was offered emergency hospitalization, she refused, because she thought that she could still [have time] to do [to help Artem].
After that, we stopped into the apartment to see what is there. They collected things and now parted around other apartments. I woke up just an hour ago. Nothing hurts, but the head is heavy. I'm trying to recover, rather mental.
