A resident of the Omsk region told Mediazona that her brother, mobilized on September 24, was going to be sent to a combat zone without any training.

“My brother served in the army. Came three years ago. He's a regular shooter. On Monday they were taken supposedly to training camp. They dressed there and put on shoes. And they said that in a couple of days they would be sent to the front. No training, nothing. He held a machine gun in his hands a couple of times during his military service.

Where they are gathered now, they themselves do not know anything, they themselves do not know how and what to teach. The maximum amount of clothing they gave us was light, judging by the photos my brother sent. And winter is just around the corner. It’s already snowing here,” said Mediazona’s interlocutor.

She does not know which unit her brother was sent to.

According to Tatyana, mobilization in the Omsk region takes place “in batches” - she knows of a case when a 57-year-old man who had never served in the army received a summons.
