Politico: singer Rastorguev and philosopher Dugin will be included in the eighth package of EU sanctions

As part of the eighth package of sanctions against Russia, announced by the European Union on September 28, it is planned to introduce personal restrictions against 30 new individuals and eight companies.

Among them are the leader of the Lyube group Nikolai Rastorguev, the philosopher Alexander Dugin, the president of the Kalashnikov concern Alan Lushnikov, as well as people involved in organizing “referendums on joining Russia” in the self-proclaimed DPR and LPR and the occupied Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Politico writes about this, citing the draft document.

In addition, the European Union plans to ban the export of semiconductors, aircraft parts and certain chemicals to Russia.

The EU will also refuse to import cosmetics, makeup products, razors, deodorants, soap, dental floss and toilet paper from Russia.

As part of the new sanctions, European companies will not be able to provide architectural and engineering services to Russians, as well as provide legal and IT advice.

• The eighth package of sanctions against Russia was announced on September 28 at a press conference in Brussels by the head of the European Commission, Ursula Von Der Leyen. Among other things, she said that the new sanctions involve the development of a legal basis for introducing a price ceiling on Russian oil.
• The G7 countries announced in early September their decision to introduce a price ceiling on Russian oil. It will take effect on December 5, simultaneously with the entry into force of the EU embargo on the import of Russian oil by sea.
