The UK and the US imposed sanctions against the head of the Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina and the Federation Council

The UK, US and Canada have imposed new sanctions on Russia. This is reported on government websites.

The US sanctions list includes dozens of individuals and legal entities. Among them are the head of the Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina, relatives of Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu, Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin, Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov, Director of the National Guard Viktor Zolotov, Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko and Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The entire Federation Council, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak and members of the State Duma of the Russian Federation also fell under the sanctions. Restrictions have also been imposed on companies from Armenia, China and Belarus.

The UK also included Nabiullina on the sanctions list.

Canada has also expanded its sanctions list against Russia by adding 43 "elite members" and their families.

The website of the British Foreign Office says that the country will prohibit Russia from accessing the services of its engineering, architectural, auditing, legal and advertising companies. In addition, the country has imposed a ban on the supply of about 700 goods to the Russian Federation necessary for industry and technology.

Yesterday, the media wrote, citing sources, that the EU plans to include in the eighth package of sanctions a ban on the use of European cryptocurrency services by Russians.
