Roskomnadzor blocked SoundCloud

Access to the platform was limited at the request of the Prosecutor General. The decision was made “in connection with the placement of materials containing inaccurate information regarding the essence of a special military operation in Ukraine,” TASS reports with reference to the press service of Roskomnadzor.

The department also noted that the owners of the resource twice sent the requirements to delete “forbidden information”, but this was not done. If SoundCloud fulfills the requirements of the supervisory authority, access to the service will be restored.

In the spring, the Russian market left another large streaming service - Spotify. “The Law [“ On Fakes ”] imposes additional restrictions on access to information, eliminates freedom of expression of opinions and criminals certain types of news,” the representatives of this company said then.
