DNS confirmed leak of customer and employee data

The network of electronics stores DNS announced the leakage of personal data of customers and employees. This, according to the company's specialists, happened after a hacker attack from servers located outside of Russia.

The fact that the personal data of clients and DNS employees was leaked to the network was reported by the Telegram channel "Information Leaks". The database consists of 16.5 million records, the dump contains names and surnames, emails, phone numbers, and usernames on the site. The data was uploaded no earlier than September 19, this was done by a source who had previously leaked the customer base of the Online Trade.ru online store, the post says.

The leak was confirmed in DNS. They said that the leak was the result of a hacker attack. “We see that the attack was carried out by a group of hackers. Hacking was carried out from servers located outside the Russian Federation. We have already found gaps in the protection of our information infrastructure and are working to strengthen information security in the company, ” the statement says .

The DNS also assured that passwords and bank card data were not stolen.
