SoundCloud blocked in Russia

Roskomnadzor, at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office, blocked SoundCloud in Russia. The agency believes that the audio streaming service spread fakes about the "special operation".

As follows from the data of the Roskomnadzor registry, SoundCloud was blocked by the decision of the prosecutor's office of September 22 on the basis of Article 15.3 of the Law "On Information". It regulates the restriction of access to content with calls for riots, participation in unauthorized actions, extremism, etc.

We are talking about materials with "inaccurate information" about the "special operation" in Ukraine. “Roskomnadzor twice sent demands to the owner of the resource about the need to remove prohibited information,” RBC was told in the department. - Due to the failure to remove illegal materials, access to the service is limited in Russia. If the prohibited information is deleted, the resource will be unlocked.”
