"Mrs. Crimea - 2022" Olga Valeeva was fined 40 thousand rubles by the court for performing the song "Chervona Kalina". This was reported by RIA Novosti.

Valeeva's friend, with whom they performed the song, received 10 days of arrest. As Life specifies , Valeeva's punishment was less severe, since she has minor children.

The women were found guilty of committing administrative offences under two articles: discrediting the Russian Armed Forces (20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation) and promoting the symbols of extremist organisations (20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation).

A video recording also appeared on the Crimean Ministry of Internal Affairs Telegram channel, where women apologize for performing the song.

• Valeeva and her friend performed the song "Chervona Kalina" while sitting on the balcony - they posted a corresponding video on Instagram , where it attracted wide attention. Valeeva herself stated that the song was performed without any intention.
• In mid-September, six organizers and guests of a wedding in Crimea were held accountable for singing "Chervona Kalina": they were fined and jailed for up to 15 days. In August, a DJ was arrested on the peninsula for playing a video for the song "Wild Field" in a bar with images in support of the Ukrainian military; the customer who ordered the song was fined 50 thousand rubles.
• The song "Chervona Kalina" became one of the symbols of Ukraine after the Russian invasion. It was performed by many Ukrainian artists, as well as the group Pink Floyd . Russian state media write that the song "is considered the anthem of Ukrainian nationalist formations, including those banned in the Russian Federation."
