The European Union will allocate 5 billion euros to Ukraine until the end of 2022. This was stated by the deputy head of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis.

Dombrovskis said that he was glad to sign the second memorandum of understanding with Ukraine "since Russia began its brutal war."
“This time: the EU will provide 5 billion in the euro of Ukraine for urgent needs for liquidity, payment of salaries and pensions. We will provide the first part in mid -October, the next two parts will follow later this year, ”wrote the deputy head of the EC.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal thanked the European Commission for this decision and called this packet of assistance "the EU gesture, which intends to support Ukraine in victory in this war, restoration and desire for the European future."
Previously, Reuters, citing sources, said that the United States is preparing a new weapons package worth $ 1.1 billion as assistance to Ukraine. According to the agency’s interlocutors, the new assistance package will be announced in the near future.
