Putin signed documents on the annexation of new territories to Russia

Laws on the admission of the DPR, LPR, as well as the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions to Russia and laws on the ratification of agreements with them were signed by the president and published on the official Internet portal of legal information. It was expected that this would happen a day earlier.

The former heads of these territories, after the accession, received the status of interim:

• Acting head of the DPR - Denis Pushilin;
• Acting head of the LPR - Leonid Pasechnik;
