Yandex.Maps no longer shows the boundaries of regions. Previously, country borders disappeared from the service

The Yandex.Maps service no longer shows area boundaries. In particular, according to RIA Novosti, the borders of Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions of Ukraine are not displayed.

In June, Yandex.Maps stopped displaying country borders . Then the press service of Yandex said that the company's service will focus on the physical and geographical image on maps, focusing on natural objects, and not on state borders.

Commenting on the disappearance of the borders of the regions, Yandex again reminded that they "continue to develop a physical and geographical map with an emphasis on natural objects."

• Russia annexed the territories of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, as well as the occupied parts of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. On October 6, a new version of the Constitution of the Russian Federation was published, which was amended accordingly .
