I honestly do not remember such a case.
It also seems to me that a long -deserved reward coincided (pulls to say: in a happy way, but I will not; what kind of “happiness” is here?) With the general political conjuncture. It is enough, I think, to say that the laureate of the most prestigious Memorial Prize on Earth shared with the Ukrainian “Center for the Gramyansk Freedom” and human rights activist, and now the Belarusian political prisoner Andrei Belyatsky.
The “Memorial” of the Nobel Award is far from the first. I will list some.
“ The Erich-Maria Remarque World Award” (2001)-from the city of Znabruk .
Lion Kopelev Award (2002).
“ Nansen Medal ” (2004) is an annual human rights Prize of the UN Supreme Commissioner for Refugees.
The prize “For the right lifestyle” (2004) - “because in difficult times showed the importance of understanding the historical roots of human rights violations to ensure their respect in the future.”
Max Van der stool (2005) - from the Foreign Ministry of the Netherlands.
The Hollanz Award . Awarded by the Society for the Protection of Vulnerable Peoples (Germany) in 2009.
The Prize "For Freedom of Self -Extension" (2012) - from the British non -governmental organization " Index Censorship ".
The Keeper of National Memory (2012) - from the Polish Institute of National Memory .
I think any of them is enough to fit forever in the memory of the Fatherland. In Russia - on the contrary. Any sign of recognition (if he, especially well-deserved) causes a whole cascade of vicious comments, and even worse-administrative-sedentary shares. I looked at the article about the “Memorial” in Wikipedia (also, it seems, an agent of the unfriendly state?) - It’s scary to imagine how much effort was required from the “Memorial” in order to continue their ascetic work for more than three decades!
And this is instead of tearful gratitude from their native state to people who, without any hope of an adequate answer, tried to present the state to the sane and humanoid. But - they were not attacked.
For more than thirty -odd years, the authorities are trying to insert sticks into the wheels in each (in each!) Case, when people try to do her work for her.
Look.
Only according to official figures, during the Stalinist repressions for 1930-1953, 3,778,234 people were convicted for political reasons, of which 786,098 people were sentenced to death . The fate of those killed during the Stalin Greater Terror for a long time was a state secret . Initially, to the relatives of the arrested during the appeal, they answered that they were “not listed” in this prison or the NKVD body. Since 1939, relatives have been informed about the sentence for “ 10 years without the right to correspondence ”, and from the end of 1945 - about death in a conclusion for “natural reasons”. Despite everything, the relatives continued to be interested in the fate of their missing loved ones, collecting evidence and rumors, gradually convinced of their tragic death. In 1963, the authorities allowed in response to requests to report on the executions of the three and deuces sentenced to “Troika ” - but only if fake death certificates were not issued to the relatives.
Only since 1988 this restriction was removed. However, most places of murders and burials were and remain state secret. The then head of the Moscow State Security Department told me, after the “August coup” of the 91st year, he became at the helm of this organization, what obstacles he (!) Had to overcome in order to open the “classified territories” of the Butovsky training ground and communal services. As a rule, the burial place was not indicated even in the act of bringing the sentence. The list of these places has not yet been officially published.

In 1989, employees of Memorial, led by Valentin Muravsky, discovered mass burials in the Leningrad Region on the Levashovskaya Perenda . In the St. Petersburg branch of the company, the Necropolitan Terror program was conducted, the information collected according to its results was published on the website of the “Virtual Museum of the Gulag”. The mass burials of the victims of repression were revealed by employees of the Karelian Memorial, led by Yuri Dmitriev : they found 263 shooting pits in Sandarmokh with the remains of more than 6,200 people. In the Irkutsk region, a Pivovarich training ground was discovered with the remains of more than 17 thousand people. In Yekaterinburg , on the 12th kilometer of the Moscow tract, the bodies of 20 to 40 thousand killed were buried ... The Memorial sponsored excavations and research, reburied the remains, was engaged in the rehabilitation of the repressed, provided organizational assistance in the construction and coordination of memorable monuments.
That, I repeat that the state was obliged to do, I had to do - contrary to it.
In 2017, Memorial updated its base of political repression. The basis of the new lists were 412 volumes of “Book of Memory” with the names of the victims of the Stalinist repressions that have been published in the regions of Russia over the past quarter century; Another 170 books were added to the previously published. Materials from Georgia and Azerbaijan, Ukraine, the Bryansk and Sakhalin regions were added, which were not in previous versions.
More than three million surnames!
For a new database, I had to carefully check the source materials, delete the repetitions and obvious inaccuracies; It is enough to say that from the previous list, for various reasons, about seventy thousand surnames were removed. This is understandable: all memory books appeared at different times, gathered by different people, different qualifications and experience. “So, in Karachay-Cherkessia, these are“ deaf ”lists: surname, initials, year of birth, reference to the newspaper, where the name was published. The same situation is in the Ivanovo region, ”says Jan Rachinsky, the head of the international“ memorial ”. - In a number of regions, not a single volume of the Book of Memory was published at all, this is Ingushetia, Chechnya, Tuva, Bryansk, Volgograd, Vologda, Leningrad, Penza, Chelyabinsk and Saratov regions. A few more regions have “symbolic lists”, for example, posted only in electronic form ... In the Primorsky Territory, a local enthusiast released three volumes in fifteen copies. And in the Tambov region, the publication of the circulation of 30 copies was funded by the local representative of the Memorial ...

And in 2014, the Interdepartmental Commission for the Protection of GOSTaine under the leadership of the President of the Russian Federation extended the secrecy period for the NKVD archives until 2044 ...
All (all!) Monuments to the victims of repressions in the country were established by the efforts of the Memorial. Starting from the famous Solovetsky Stone on Lyuban Square - which is still standing instead of the memorial innocently fallen. But he has not yet managed to abolish from here, despite all the efforts of the “fans”, which, however, is faced with a more “important task” - to return the monument to Felix Dzerzhinsky to the square ...
"Memorial" was born as a society of preserving memory. A society that has deprived itself of the memory of the past has no future. This obvious truth has to be proved, and prove - it is more and more difficult.
You have to prove - many.
First of all, these are those who proudly call themselves “Chekists” and the prosecutors, officials, judges, “scientists” from the military-historical society that are supporting their support. These, for example, came up with a wonderful idea, as it seems to them: it turns out to be shot in the same Sandarmokh ... Soviet prisoners of war - Finnish invaders during the Great Patriotic War. And do not give a damn that the “idea” does not stand up to criticism; The Russian "New Gazeta" wrote about this many times, I will not repeat it. But no one can stop the "military historians". The concept of "conscience", apparently, does not exist for them ...
Over the past years, society has published dozens and hundreds of books, without which a modern person cannot call himself a person.
Over 30 years of work, the International Memorial created an archive of almost 100 thousand personal cases of victims of Stalinist repressions, the documents to which their relatives passed. In addition, he leads the archive of the KGB and the NKVD who took a direct part in repressions - which, I must say, causes pathological hatred among the heirs of the executioners.
Reference publications were prepared “Memorial”: “Who led the NKVD: 1934-1941”, “The system of forced labor camps in the USSR”, electronic album “Victims of Political Terror in the USSR”. The program “History of dissent in the USSR. 1954-1987 ”is carried out by an open scientific publication of the famous“ samizdat ” - the information balloon of the“ chronicle of current events ”with the attached branched and complex reference apparatus.
... On March 26, 2013, the first prosecutor’s activity was carried out, the Memorial PCC, initiated at the request of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation. The organization requested 9.5 thousand sheets of documents. As a result of checking this unimaginable paper shaft the prosecutor's office - in four days! “She established that the organization was engaged not only in educational and historical tasks, but also“ influenced the formation of public opinion in Russia and received foreign financing for this. ” Already on April 30, the prosecutor's office issued the order to the Human Rights Center "Memorial" to register as a "foreign agent".
By January 9, 2020, the amount of fines for the lack of labeling of the foreign agent reached 4.2 million rubles. At the request of the Memorial, the municipal deputy Elena Kotenochkina in a written appeal asked Roskomnadzor to explain the regulations for marking materials, but she received the answer that there were no similar requirements in the current legislation.
So what? No, no.
On September 4, 2020, the Memorial Stand at the international book exhibition-fair was visited by representatives of the prosecutor's office. The audit act indicated as non -agent with the message that the company that the company issued many years before the adoption of the relevant law - for example, the catalog of the Memorial Museum for 1998, were indicated. Employees of the stand had a special stamp for labeling books, which they put marks for those who wanted to take a book of visitors, but representatives of the prosecutor's office did not allow them to use and included these publications to the act as non -marked ones.
On December 28, 2021, the Supreme Court took place of the parties in the case of the International Memorial. During the meeting, the representative of the Prosecutor General Alexei Zhafyarov said that the “memorial” “creates a false image of the USSR as a terrorist state, and has been injected and rehabilitated by Nazi criminals.” Not weak, right? Eismont’s defense lawyer noted that for the first time during the process, the accusation called the true reason for claims to the organization, which actually confirmed that previously announced claims to violations of the law on foreign agents were only a formal occasion.
So what? According to the results of the debate, Judge Alla Nazarova decided to eliminate the "International Memorial" and all its regional units.
On October 15, 2021, the Memorial Moscow office was searched, the company also demanded to provide documentation for the entire period of work - from the date of registration.
In November 2021, the authorities initiated two parallel processes to eliminate the human rights center "Memorial" and "International Memorial". On November 8, 2021, the Moscow prosecutor’s office filed a lawsuit against the liquidation of the Memorial PC in the Moscow City Court. The next day, November 9, 2021, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation filed a lawsuit to eliminate the “International Memorial” and its units, including human rights center, archive, library and museum. The authority called the official reason the systematic violations of the law on foreign agents, namely, the lack of appropriate marking in publications. The prosecutor’s experts also revealed “psychological and linguistic features” in the activities of the Memorial PCC and the excuses of terrorist organizations and the “approval of extremism”. The prosecutor’s office said that the “Memorial” poses a public threat, accusing the organization of violation of important international documents - the declaration of human rights , the Convention on the Rights of the Child , the Convention on Human Rights , the Pact on Civil and Political Rights and many others ...
The award of the Nobel Prize seems to give answers to these claims. Another thing, prosecutors may seem that their accusations, on the contrary, are confirmed. The prosecutors, you know, have its own, special logic.
... And we congratulate our friends and like -minded people on a high award, an act of worldwide recognition.
But, I think, the Nobel Committee in Russia signed a final sentence. Now we will read a lot of interesting things about him, from which “blood is cold”, and “fists are compressed with indignation” by the machinations of imperialists and unmasking Nazis. All cases of “dubious” awards of past years will be listed, and the awarded themselves angrily condemned - with a different degree of sincerity of the condemning, but convincingly and irrevocably. It’s scary to even think that fifteen years ago, our friends pulled Putin himself as nominated. And then no one, if the memory does not change, did not mention the “doubtfulness” of the premium itself. Although Arafat was awarded by that time, Obama and Kissinger ...
But then it was for some reason not inherently.
For some reason, Putin did not pass. Now, apparently, it will not pass.
Today the holiday is not outside.
