The Eurovision Song Contest in 2023 will be held in English Liverpool on behalf of Ukraine - it was supposed to hold an event on its territory as a winner of 2022. In June, the organizers decided to postpone the show "for security reasons."
Great Britain, whose representative at Eurovision-2022 took second place, offered seven cities for the competition. Two reached the final: English Liverpool, recognized by the capital of pop music, and Scottish Glasgow.
“It is symbolic that Eurovision-2023 will be held in Liverpool-the twin city of Odessa,” commented the choice of winner Nikolai Chernotitsky, the head of the board of the Ukrainian company UA: PBC, which was supposed to prepare the show.
Earlier it was reported that the organizers plan to use elements of the Ukrainian style in the show, and the participant from Ukraine will automatically go to the final-as the rights of the European Council country "Eurovision" provide.
The Eurovision Song Contest has been held since 1956. Great Britain will accept it for the ninth time. She more often than other participants became the country - the organizer of Eurovision.
