The military enlistment offices of St. Petersburg were banned by the city enterprises to “book” employees from mobilization. The corresponding announcement appeared in the Commissariat of the Central District on October 17, drew the attention of Fontanka.

As follows from the document, during the period of mobilization, Russians who are in reserve can no longer get a delay from the army at work if they were not “booked” in peacetime. According to a representative of one of the enterprises, men was released from mobilization to the end of the previous week.

In a conversation with Fontanka, representatives of the Military Commissariat of the Central District confirmed that Petersburgers cannot be “book” in all areas of the city. Russians will not be able to get a delay in work, presumably until October 28. “Two more weeks, as Putin promised, but what will happen next is incomprehensible,” added in the commissariat.

What else is known. Fontanka noted that earlier Deputy Military Commissioner of St. Petersburg, Ilfat Abzalov, said that companies could “armure” employees in peacetime. According to him, some enterprises did not have time to do this and will be able to solve the issue only with representatives of the Ministry of Defense. Why Petersburgers can no longer claim a “reservation” for work, if, according to the law, mobilization is still in peacetime, is unknown.
