According to the sources of Medusa, close to the Kremlin, the authorities plan to complete the mobilization in St. Petersburg in the coming days. At the same time, they intend to stop it, despite the fact that the “set of set” in the city has not yet been fulfilled, the interlocutors of the publication say.
Why was completed mobilization in Moscow. In its material, "Medusa" sorted out why the Moscow authorities decided to "complete" the mobilization. Two sources of the publication close to the Kremlin explained the decision by the fact that, according to the authorities, "the population of the capital was frustrated." The negative attitude to mobilization only worsened after the “raids” on military liability.
“People naturally hid. They are afraid and are not sure of the future. Many have left. The level of fear and discontent only increased. Moscow turned into a completely different city. The “raids” by the metro is already a circus with horses, it was necessary to stop, ”Medusa quotes a quote from one of the interlocutors.
According to him, the “vehicles” methodology “invented” in the Ministry of Defense and other law enforcement agencies. Similarly, the military enlistment enforcement and security forces behaved in St. Petersburg. Against this background, on October 17, the governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, dismissed the head of the mobilization department of the city Viktor Shevchenko.
Why can they complete mobilization in St. Petersburg. According to the sources of Medusa, by order of the presidential administration in large Russian cities, they conducted focus groups about the attitude of residents to mobilization. Polls showed a “clear anti -Putin trend” even among supporters of war, who blame the president in a poor organization of mobilization. According to the sources of Medusa, it is precisely this that the possible decision is connected to complete the mobilization in St. Petersburg.
Why are there no security guarantees. At the same time, there are no guarantees of the actual termination of mobilization. The documents regulating its completion were not published, the public part of the law on mobilization prescribes either the terms or the number of mobilized Russians (an indicator of 300 thousand people exists only in statements by the Ministry of Defense and the Kremlin).
In some regions - for example, in the Rostov and Kursk regions - they announced an additional set after statements about the implementation of the mobilization plan. The interlocutors of the "Medusa" call it "an additional KPI for officials who have shown themselves." At the same time, according to them, in winter we can expect a full -fledged “second wave” of mobilization. As the sources of the publication say, it will be “more point”, and employers will more actively attract employers to the process. The Russian authorities deny the existence of “waves” of mobilization, in any documents they are also not spelled out.
