Dmitry Bykov was fined for telegram posts without the “foreign agent” label

The Nikulinsky District Court of Moscow fined the poet and writer Dmitry Bykov for not being labeled as a “foreign agent.” The decision was posted in the file cabinet of Moscow courts.

According to the resolution, Bykov was fined because of three posts posted in August on his Telegram channel (Part 1 of Article 19.34.1 of the Administrative Code). Two posts concerned Bykov’s program “One” on, and the third contained his poem.

Dmitry Bykov was brought in at the end of July. Russian authorities require its participants to mark their posts with a status tag beginning with the words “THIS MESSAGE...”, register a legal entity and submit reports to the Ministry of Justice once a quarter.
