"Important Stories": at least 26 mobilized Russians were killed in Ukraine

The publication "Important Stories" published an analysis of the results of the first month of mobilization in Russia. According to their calculations, at least 26 mobilized were killed at the front in Ukraine for a month at the front. At least 30 people died in military units before sending to the front. In total, about 230.5 thousand people were mobilized.

Messages about those who died in the first month of mobilization are taken from open sources. It is indicated that many of them were sent to the front after military training, which is often limited to several days.

At least 30 mobilized Russians died before sending to the front: at mobilization points and in military units. The causes of their death are diverse: from exacerbation of chronic diseases to suicide. The most massive case of the death of the mobilized was the shooting at the training ground in the Belgorod region, which arose as a result of the conflict between the mobilized ones: according to various sources, from 11 to 32 people were killed there.

There are reports about the surrender of mobilized Russians in captivity, but no numbers are given.

During the first month of mobilization, numerous violations in its conduct were reported. The summons were awarded to people who were not subject to a call for health reasons who had not previously served, large fathers, specialists who were laid by reservation. In Moscow and St. Petersburg, actually police raids on male recruiting are held , whose agendas were awarded on the streets, in the subway and in shopping centers.

The mobilized and their relatives themselves have repeatedly reported the poor conditions for the placement of recruits, the absence of hot food and unsanitary conditions, as well as that mobilized military equipment was practically not provided: bulletproof vests, sleeping bags, medicines and thermal underwear were offered to buy on their own.

According to military analysts from Conflict Intelligence Team (CIT), the real number of mobilized in Russia is difficult to evaluate: data from the regions vary. The analysis of "important stories" calls the figure of 230.5 thousand people.

• On September 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced mobilization. According to him, only citizens who are in stock are subject to conscription for military service. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said "300 thousand reservists will be called up during a partial mobilization." A number of sources claim that the authorities plan to mobilize about a million citizens.
