The Minister of Energy of Ukraine, German Galushchenko, said that as a result of Russian shelling, from 30 to 40% of the country's energy infrastructure was damaged. The damage caused by Ukrainian energy is billions of dollars.
According to Galushchenko, due to Russian attacks on energy facilities, Ukraine has lost about 4 thousand megawatts of energy potential. However, the minister emphasized in the Reuters commentary , Russia did not achieve his direct goal without heat and electricity. Many power plants affected by bombing continue to work, albeit with less efficiency.
He mentioned that Ukraine may have to import part of the electricity and that its department is already negotiating with foreign suppliers.
