A picketer holding a poster in support of politician Alexei Navalny was detained on Manezhnaya Square in Moscow.

In Moscow, at the monument to Marshal Zhukov on Manezhnaya Square, the police detained picketer Margarita Vaseva. Her friend Mikhail Suslin reported this to OVD-Info.

Vaseva stood with a poster “I/WE Navalny”; she was being taken to the Kitay-Gorod police department.

October 24 03:30 Defender Evgeny Kurakin came to help Vaseva at the Kitay-Gorod OP. However, police officers told him that his client was not at the police department and allegedly was not taken there at all. The detainee herself does not get in touch.

Evgeny Kurakin wrote a statement to search for Margarita Vaseva. They refused to accept the paper for an hour under various pretexts and registered it only when the defense attorney filed a complaint against the actions of the police officer on duty.

10:41 A protocol was drawn up against Margarita Vaseva for repeated violation of the legislation on rallies (Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code), reported OVD-Info Evgeniy Kurakin. Her case will soon be considered by the Tverskoy Court in Moscow. It is not yet known in which department she was held at night.
