Arkhangelsk activists were charged more than 700 thousand rubles for police work at rallies in support of Navalny

The Oktyabrsky District Court of Arkhangelsk recovered 766 thousand rubles from nine activists for police work at last year’s rallies in support of Alexei Navalny. also reported this SOTA .

Six activists were charged 233 thousand rubles due to the rally on January 23, 2021, and three more were charged 533 thousand.

Among them were former coordinators of Navalny’s Arkhangelsk headquarters Yegor Butakov and Elizaveta Bychkova, as well as former headquarters volunteer Olga Shkolina . Cases had previously been brought against them for participation in the “extremist community” of Navalny’s associates (Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code).

In court, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs abandoned their demands against Kirill Golubchik, since he did not participate in the protests.

Rallies on January 23 and 31, 2021, took place in Russian cities because oppositionist Alexei Navalny, who returned from Germany after being poisoned, was detained at the airport and placed in a pre-trial detention center.
