Mediazona analyzed data on weddings and found that more than 431 thousand people were mobilized in 75 Russian regions

In 75 Russian regions, military registration and enlistment offices mobilized at least 431 thousand people by the first half of October, and throughout Russia - almost 500 thousand. This is evidenced by the Mediazona study.

Mediazona calculated the number of men called up for war, using data on the increase in the number of weddings after the announcement of mobilization as a basis. Receiving a summons allows you to get married immediately on the day of application, in other cases you need to wait at least a month. Therefore, September broke records for the number of marriages only due to those mobilized.

In total, 31 thousand “expedited” weddings took place in 75 regions for which there is accurate data. Thanks to this, we know how many men live in each region who are in relationships without a stamp in their passport. This allows you to calculate the percentage of those who received a summons and went to the registry office.

The average mobilization percentage in Russia is 1.56%. The east of Russia was hit hardest by conscription, Moscow least of all.
