In Buryatia, a pensioner was placed under house arrest, who was convicted three times for asking the bus driver to remove a sticker with the letter Z

The Sovetsky District Court of Ulan-Ude placed pensioner Natalya Filonova, who participated in the action against mobilization on September 24, under house arrest. Human rights activist Nadezhda Nizovkina spoke about this live on YouTube ; OVD-Info drew attention to the recording.

The woman is charged with two counts of using violence against security forces (parts 1 and 2 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code). The pensioner was detained on October 21, she refused the lawyer appointed by the investigation and demanded that Nizovkina be allowed to see her. Having received a refusal, Filonova went on a hunger strike. The human rights activist was again not allowed to attend the meeting to select a preventive measure, justifying this decision by her lack of lawyer status.

According to investigators, on September 26, Filonov and Nizovkina, who were detained two days ago, were taken to court to consider reports of repeated violation of the rules of the rally (Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code). However, the court announced an evacuation and the pensioner was taken to an away hearing. According to security forces, the woman then hit two police officers.

Filonova was tried three times this year. At the end of April, she asked the bus driver to remove the sticker with the letter Z , he dropped off all the passengers and took the pensioner to the police department, where he wrote a statement against her. She was fined one thousand rubles and arrested for five days under reports of petty hooliganism (Article 20.1 of the Administrative Code) and disobedience to a police officer (Article 19.3 of the Administrative Code). Later, the woman was fined another 35 thousand rubles under the article on “discrediting” the army for broadcasting with Nizovkina, in which Filonova talked about her persecution.
