Detention at the TPP in Tyumen

08/30/2022 At about 19:30 a.m., together with my friend, Brik Kirill Alekseevich were detained by police officers at TPP-2 city of Tyumen.

[We] were heading into a deserted wasteland behind a bypass road to test the explosive mixture for the performance that we ourselves made at my place.

We made the explosive substance simply out of curiosity to see how the explosion occurs. At the same time, we have no use for any undermining of buildings and structures of intent for any undermining of buildings and structures of intent. We have no terrorist ideas, we have nothing to follow and we have nothing to do with terrorist activity.

By detaining us, police officers suspected us of the spread of narcotic drugs, but we explained to them that the substance located with us is a homemade explosive that we ourselves did and are going to experience. Further, the PPS officers who detained us invited other police officers, after which, in the presence of witnesses, we seized explosives with detonators, as well as telephones and other personal belongings.

After that, about 22-23 hours we were taken to the police department, located on the street 30 years of Victory. As I understand it, to the department that is engaged in the fight against terrorism.

In early September, the Tyumen Ministry of Internal Affairs opened a criminal case on the creation of a terrorist community, which, according to investigators, included six anti -fascists from Yekaterinburg, Surgut and Tyumen: Nikita Oleinik, Danila, Deniz Aydin, Kirill Brik, Yuri Nesnyomov and Roman Paklin.

The first to detain Brik and Aydin from Tyumen. According to the investigation, on August 30, young people created a home-made explosive device at home, and then came to the local thermal power plant-2 "in order to search for the area suitable for the production of an area in forest stands." They were detained by the security forces who found explosives and two detonators in young people.

Torture in the department on the street 30 years of Victory

Operational employees in civilian clothes were brought to this department with BRICOM. On the way, three employees talked with me, including the driver. I told them everything as it was, but it did not suit them, and they wanted to hear from me that we had a different goal, they said that we were not telling the truth. Since I was standing on my own, one of the employees who was sitting next to me hit [me] with a fist on the stomach and nape.

Upon arrival in the department, I was brought in one of the offices on the third floor, if I am not mistaken. I again told the whole situation with the seizure of explosives from us truthfully, but the police did not suit this, since they did not believe me and were convinced that Brick and I had a different intent related to terrorist activities.

Since I insisted on my own, both psychological and physical impact began to exert me. At first I was forced to undress naked and squatted. At the same time, my boot was put on my head and said that if the boot falls, then the violent action associated with the introduction of objects in the rectum will be applied to me. At the same time, because of the cabinet in the office, they took out a rubber baton and a wooden leg from a stool, explaining that they would put these objects in the rectum. In this position, I was held for about 30-40 minutes. No more threatened. I saw a baton and a leg from a stool at the beginning, since then an opaque polymer bag was put on my head and tied with tape around my head.

Constantly with me there were 2-3 employees, but they constantly changed. I remembered two employees named Andrei well, [more] three remembered without names.

I want to clarify that after I squatted naked with a bare boot on my head, I took me to another office, where they began to demand that I say everything as it is. To which I replied that I told the truth. Then they put a package on my head, as I described earlier, tumbled down on the floor. At the same time, my hands were broken back and struck on my stomach and back of the head. The blows were not strong, but I was very scared.

So it lasted about 20-30 minutes. At the same time, they asked: "Did the trains want to blow up?" They also asked if we wanted to blow up the police building and the FSB. Beating me periodically, they said that I should give them an affirmative answer to these questions.

Unable to withstand these beatings, I agreed to give such evidence, since they threatened that otherwise it would only be worse. Moreover, I had already heard that in the department for 30 years of victory people tortured. Basically, I was beaten by the same employee who put a bag on my head.

The charge considers the leader of the group of 27-year-old Nikita Oleinik from Surgut. According to investigators, he “created a terrorist community” because of “his hatred of the current state regime” and involved his friends in the group, each of whom had his own role in it. A criminal case on the creation of a terrorist community was opened against Oleinik (part 1 of Article 205.4 of the Criminal Code). The rest are accused of participating in the terrorist community (part 2 of Article 205.4 of the Criminal Code), and Brik and Aydin also in the manufacture of a home -made explosive device (part 2 of Article 223.1 of the Criminal Code).

The investigation considers one of the participants in the terrorist community the famous 28-year-old veterinarian Danil Cherykov, known in Yekaterinburg. The Ministry of Internal Affairs claims that he was responsible for providing the group with medicines.

Two other defendants from Yekaterinburg have already complained about torture. The 27-year-old Yuri Nekumov said that after the detention, the security forces in Tyumen strangled him, tortured him with water, tied and shocked him so that he signed empty sheets. A friend of another anti-fascist, a 25-year-old Roman Paklin, said that after torture he had pain in his heart and “a hand was taken away”. All six are in jail.

His name was not called. Only after I agreed to give the testimony that they want to hear, did they stop applying violence to me.

I remembered that in the office where I was beaten, a portrait of Dzerzhinsky hung. I also took an explanation from me where they recorded the testimony they wanted to hear. One of Andreev told me that I should in the future and the investigator give such evidence. They also threatened that they would torture and beat me in the future, as well as arrange problems for my girlfriend.

When the lawyer was on duty during the survey, I did not tell her about the attempt, as I was intimidated. And about torture, I told the lawyer Meshkorez Sergey Petrovich. But he did not particularly react to this. In fact, neither I nor Brik have any relation to terrorist activity. They did not want to blow up any trains, administrative buildings. The manufacture of explosives was engaged simply because of curiosity.
