We discuss very strange (and even more disturbing) statements of Russia that Ukraine is supposedly going to blow up a “dirty bomb”. Is this clearly nonsense?

On October 23, the head of the Russian Ministry of Defense Sergei Shoigu contacted the Minister of Defense of the four NATO countries: France, Turkey, Great Britain and the USA. During these conversations, Shoigu said that Ukraine allegedly prepares a “provocation” with an explosion of a “dirty bomb” on its territory.

At the same time, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation did not provide any evidence of this. But on the eve of the negotiations of Shoigu, the RIA Novosti agency with reference to “deserving sources in different countries” wrote that Kiev, with the support of the UK, is creating and going to apply a “dirty bomb” to accuse Russia of using weapons of mass destruction.

Kiev calls messages about the “dirty bomb” by a lie and emphasizes that Ukraine supports an agreement on non -proliferation of nuclear weapons. According to the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, if someone can use nuclear weapons in Ukraine, then only Russia.
